The Methodist Church Nigeria of Nigeria has made history.

The Church under the leadership of his Eminence Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche has Conscreated 30 New Bishops for the first time in the history of the Church. 

The 30 New Bishops including a female, Archbishops, Lay Presidents,Secretary Of Conference and Conference Lay president were conscreated and invested into the Church.

Preaching during the Consecration and Investiture, Rt. Rev. Micheal Akinwale,the Archbishop of Abuja,who is also the out going Secretary of Conference titled his message on "Why i have brought this people this Far". He highlighted 5 ways by which the newly inducted and Consecrated Bishops and other officer of the Church has gone this far,He said the Lord wants to Showcase them by projecting God's glory,win souls to enlarge the kingdom of God. He then prayed for the new administration coming in that they will excel more and more.

The Prelate, while speaking to Dconnectnews said the event is an epoch making event which marks the grand final of his service to Methodist Church Nigeria,as he bows out of office. He said for the first time the Church has Consecrated 30 new Bishops because they were able to create 30 new Dioceses and a max expansion in a marvellous way which he believes God works intendly with his 4point agenda to grow the Church spiritually, numerically, financially and infrastructurally.

He advised the new Consecrated Bishops that they should continue with what John Wesley taught them,to live evangelism,preach evangelism, talk evangelism, spread the gospel and win souls for Christ.

He then advised Nigerians to use their Permanent Voters card to vote in good people and Nigeria will be good again.

Some of the newly consecrated Bishop could not hide their feelings for they are grateful to God for making them see the day. They also promised to evangelize and win more souls for God.

The Methodist Church Nigeria will then induct and Consecrate the new Methodist Prelate tomorrow 13th November for the next 5Years.
