The Leader in Charge of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Amazing Grace District, Sp. Apos. Amb. OluKayode Aiyegbusi has admonished Nigerians to remain calm, embrace peace, resolute and prayerful following the violence that has erupted across the country over the Scarcity of the Naira Notes and rejection of the Old Naira Notes.

The clergyman said he is perturbed by the wanton destruction of properties and lives in different states across the country, saying that this will further aggravate the crisis, coupled with the hike in the price of Petrol.

According to Sp. Apos. Amb. O. O. Aiyegbusi, “Nigerians are annoyed with present government over the situation of things in the country, but we need to look at the positive side of this policy.

“Though, the government and the Apex Bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria have made a mistake with the timing of this policy, but two wrongs can never make a right. So it is necessary that we embrace peace and stop this violence for the betterment and growth of the nation.

“The people that have lost their lives are gone and can not come back to life. We need to stop this bloodshed and wanton destruction of national and private assets but remain prayerful”.

He advised Nigerians to pray for our leaders to stop making anti-people policies, that God should lead them aright by putting the people first on their decision making.

“The election is less than 10 days away,we need to shun violence and pray that God  puts in power deliverers that will have the love of the people at heart. [Judge 3:9]

“I encourage every Nigerian to exercise their franchise in an orderly manner devoid of rift, rancour or violence”.

The Peace Ambassador stressed that the future of the nation is bright as the country will be great again, so far peace, unity, justice, equity, and respect for the rule of law are prioritized.
