The Director General of Tinubu/Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Council, Chief Tayo Ayinde, has said Badagry people will enjoy lots of development if Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is re-elected.
Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu, made the promise at the weekend during the inauguration of ABAT-BOS Independent Campaign Group (ICG) in Badagry.
He said Badagry remained the first point of contact by the people coming into Nigeria from Republic of Benin, Ghana, Togo, Guinea and other West African countries.
“We will develop Badagry just as we have developed the centre of Lagos.
“Can someone ask me the reason for this? It is simple. Anybody coming into the country will not view the town as Badagry, they will simply say look at Nigeria.
“So, All Progressives Congress (APC) will bring lots of development to Badagry so that anyone coming into the country will say look how beautiful Nigeria is,” he said.
Ayinde added: “If you support our candidates-Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu, Dr. Idiat Adebule, Sesi Whingah and other candidates in Badagry and they win, why won’t we consider you more than what we have considered you before? Badagry deserves a special status at the federal and state levels.”
He hailed Mr. Ibrahim Layode, the lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, for ensuring such a multitude for the party.
Layode said Badagry people came out en masse to show their love for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu.
Mr. Solomon Bonu, the APC candidate aspiring to represent Badagry Constituency 1 in the House of Assembly, said: “We are doing everything to ensure victory for Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, Adebule and other APC candidates in Badagry.”
