As the 2023 General Elections gathers momentum, Amb. John Adekorede Aderibigbe has joined the Campaign in sensitizing Electorates and  Nigerians on the need to shun violence for a peaceful, credible, free and fair electoral process.

Amb. Aderibigbe, a Member of the United Nations Peace Advocacy Campaigner has partnered with the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, advocating on the need for Nigerians to shun electoral violence and embrace peace.

The former Presidential Aspirant and President, National Carrot Growers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria, NACAGPROMAN, made this assertions as he joined the train of International Association of World Peace Advocates, IAWPA, a global non-governmental organization and a participant of the United Nations Global Compact in Abuja, the nation’s Capital, to advocate and sensitize the electorates, mostly youths on the need for them not to be used by politicians to create chaos and crisis as electioneering campaign takes center stage, and with the election drawing closer:l.

In a Statement by the Philanthropist and Peace Advocate through his Media Aide, Akinwale Kasali, he said this is his own quota to the development of the nation, and his continuous advocacy of preaching peace, unity, peace co existence among the people.

Aderibigbe added that for every country to experience economic growth, advancement and prosperity, it needs to be at peace and gain its respect among the comity of nations.

“As the 2023 Election is fast approaching, we need to change the narratives and make sure that our youths shun electoral violence in electing their choices leaders in position of authority.

“We can’t keep doing the same thing and expect a different result, as a people, we need to give peace a chance, this will in turn change the fortunes of the nation for the betterment of all”.

He however condemned in its entirety the incessant destruction and attack on INEC Facilities by unknown gunmen.

It would be recalled that the INEC Facilities in Imo State was recently attacked with the Police engaging in a fierce gun  battle with the gunmen, killing Three of them.

Also in Ebonyi State and Ogun State, INEC Facilities were attacked with the Commission lamenting spate Of incessant attacks, Aderibigbe however call on Security Agencies in the country to upp the ante and synergize with Commission in bringing the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book.
